"Gentlemen, remember -- you're in this together. It wouldn't hurt you to go walking with her. In fact, that shared experience would be good for you both."
The room suddenly became very quiet as the men absorbed this information. After a few moments a man, name unknown, at the back of the room, slowly raised his hand.
"Yes?" said the Instructor.
"I was just wondering if it would be all right if she carries a golf bag while we walk?"

SPRING 2012 NEWSLETTER
Spring is here at Prairie Rose Clothiers! For trends and styles, read on!!
Color blocking continues to be a key trend for Spring 2012. This works best in simple shapes, and keep your accessories to a minimum. Brights are mixed with color neutrals for an organized, sophisticated feel. Don't count denim out--found on shoes, handbags, and clothing are denim and denim inspired ideas. The Pantone Color Institute colors of tangerine tango, sweet lilac, solar power ( a warm yellow), margarita (a mossy green), cockatoo (a blue-green), cabaret, and bellflower (soft purple) are colors you can find at Prairie Rose.
Expect to see head-to-toe floral prints giving a nod to the elegant era of the 40's & 50's. Ikat and tribal-print pieces in yellows, browns, black, and blues continue to make a statement. Nautical looks are always a spring/summer staple, and playful polka dots will give stripes a run for its money. Rock the nautical look with capri pants and penny loafers.
The peplum waist is making its appreance again. Lean, or with drama, the result is feminity. High-waist ensembles are also back. Legs look long, and that dreaded "muffin top" bulge can vanish. Shirts should be tucked in or cropped high. Shoes with platforms or stacked heels look best.
Inspirations for this spring, in shoes, comes from the 70's -the decade that style forgot- is remembered for wide-leg trousers, lacy cutouts, platforms and wedges. As a result, you'll see a combination of bright colors and easy to wear nudes. Wedges feature rich wood, woven rope, and cork bottoms. High fronted sandals are comfortable and flattering with beautiful woven leathers and perfectly placed straps. Details such as jewels, beading, bows and flowers add that feminine finishing touch.
In handbags look for lots of "straw". Bows not only adorn shoes, but handbags as well. From artistic details on "master piece" handbags, to handbags in white and white hues. Lots of new arrivals have crossed our doorstep for Spring 2012! New rompers, onsies, diaper covers, dresses, and more. New plush toys--so cute--have arrived! We have asked, and Mud Pie has finally added 9-12 months to their sizing this spring. Not everythings is available in this new sizing, but many things are and have alredy arrived. I have mentioned The 3/50 Project before, here is a good explanation as to what it is:
Consumers are asked to think of three businesses they would miss if they disappeared & patronize them, with a reminder that those transactions are what keeps the doors open. The number 50 ties to the fact that if just half (50%) of the employed US population dedicated $50 of their current monthly spending to locally owned independent businesses (instead of the national chains), more than $42.6 billion of revenue would be generated annually. The 3/50 Project message is that for every $100 spent in local, independent brick & mortar businesses, more than $68 returns to the local economy; when spent in a big box or chain, the amount drops to only $43, & to ZERO with on-line purchases.
